Scientific context and objective

Group leader: S. Pastorekova

Lead drugs, including drugs under development by European companies, which antagonize oxygen-dependent protein hydroxylation (Epo replacement, metabolic tissue protection, pre-conditioning, therapeutic angiogenesis) or HIF function (cancer treatment, inflammatory suppression), will be studied for their in vitro and in vivo functions by the members of the COST Action.

Aim

Aim is to develop and investigate drugs that are able to modulate the hypoxia signalling pathways.
